Biography

Ethel Virginia (nee Cromwell) Smith, 86, resident of Tonawanda NY, formerly of Englewood FL, passed away of natural causes Sunday February 14th, 2010 while in the care of the McAuley Residence. Ethel was born in Palmer MA on January 24th, 1924 to Walter and Evelyn Cromwell. She married Edmund L. Smith on June 27th, 1942.

Ethel was predeceased by her brother Walter Jr and grandson Angelo. She is survived by her husband, her children Edmund (Gail) Smith Jr, Virginia Affinito, and Richard (Maggie) Smith, grandchildren Heather, Shannon, Meghan, Jason, and Stormy, and great-grandchildren Angelo, Zachary, Alexander, Nicholas, Brett, Payton, Reid, Ryan, Sophie, Gabriel, and Uriah.

Ethel enjoyed reading, card games, spending time with her family, summers at the camp on Kinderhook Lake in NY, and travel with her husband and friends.
