Vincent G. Becker

Vincent Gerald Becker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 13th, 2023 at the age of 81. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on December 19, 1941 on a dairy farm in Sheldon, NY, Vince was a remarkable individual from the very beginning. A devout Catholic, his life was a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and compassion. After high school, Vince enlisted in the US Army where he served as an MP. Upon honorable discharge, he achieved a B.S. in computer science from the University of Fort Lauderdale. Shortly thereafter, Vince began his career in business, working in various industries and eventually retiring as a tax auditor from the state of NY. Vince’s greatest source of pride, however, was his family. He was a proud father of four (Shannon, Nicole, Jennifer, and Adam) and instilled in them the values of love, integrity, hard work, and the importance of family which he held closely. Vince was a devout husband who built a bond of love and devotion with whom he shared 20 years of marriage with his surviving wife Roberta (Bobbi) Becker. Vince had an active lifestyle and could always be found playing various sports, sweeping his wife across a dance floor, or volunteering his time to support those in need. He was habitual and had an insatiable appetite for learning. You could always count on him being at the breakfast table with a bowl of cereal reading everything in reach, including the Buffalo News, Readers Digest or even the back of a cereal box. Vince will be missed immensely by his family and friends. His warm smile, humble disposition, wise counsel, and faithful and loving presence will forever remain in our hearts. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate the admirable life he lived and the positive impact on the many lives he touched. Vince is survived by his beloved wife Roberta (Dluhy); he is the dearest father of four children with exspouse Nancy Allen: Shannon V. (Debra) Becker, Nicole T. (Mark) Jakubik, Jennifer L. (Shawn) Burke, and Adam M. (Sara) Becker; stepfather of Dawn MacDonald, and Wendy (Mike) Kubiak; loving grandfather of Ryan, Taylor, Kailyn, Camden, Teagan, Torin, Bodhi, Bella, Landon, Liam and Gavin; son of the late Harold J. and Leona (George) Becker; brother of Bea Becker, Donald (Rose) Becker, Doris Boltz, Carl (Ann) Becker, Robert Becker (Sue Courteau), Helen (Vic) Estes, James (Linda) Becker, Norbert (Patricia) Becker, Marian (William) Mohri, the late Joseph (Angie) Becker, Bernard (Shirley) Becker and Ceil (Sal) Sciandra; also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
