David N. Martin

David N Martin, of North Tonawanda, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2025 at the age of 58. A fierce protector and devoted family man, Dave lived his life with a heart bigger than words could ever capture. Though he didn’t always show it in conventional ways, his love for his wife, children and grandchildren was immeasurable. He would have run through hell and high water for them without a second thought. A proud businessman, Dave built Nitram Construction from the ground up with nothing but grit, determination, and endless hard work. He poured his blood, sweat, and tears into his company, leaving behind not only a legacy of craftsmanship but also a shining example of perseverance. To his family and friends, Dave was the kind of man you could call at any hour—he would drop everything to lend a hand, no matter the need. His loyalty and generosity knew no limits. He made sure the people he loved always felt cared for and never doubted where they stood in his heart. Dave found his greatest joy in family traditions, especially at Christmastime. Whether it was picking out the tree, making cookies, decorating together, or gathering around the table, Christmas was his season of magic and togetherness. He also loved making his signature chowder every year for the Winter Classic, celebrating his lifelong love of hockey. And even when he didn’t have a motorcycle of his own, his passion for Harley-Davidson and the open road never faded. Stubborn as nails but loving even harder, Dave was a man of strength, loyalty, and endless devotion. He worked to the bone to provide for his family, leaving behind countless cherished memories and a lasting example of what it means to love fiercely. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Dave was the son of the late Leo James and Shirley Martin, he is survived by his beloved wife Lisa Martin, his children Alex Martin (Kelly), Marissa Price (London), grandchildren Layla and Logan Martin, Nala Price, siblings Stephen Martin (Addison) and Leo Martin (Linda), extended family, and many dear friends. Visitation will be held Thursday September 11, 2025 from 4 to 8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda, where Funeral Services will follow at 8 PM.
