Eleanor H. Mowers (Schottmiller)

Eleanor Mowers 91, of North Tonawanda, Monday (December 16, 2019) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Mowers was born in Buffalo New York on December 30, 1927 to Emil and Eleanor (Dehos) Schottmiller, she was predeceased by her husband Calvin Madore and her son Calvin Madore, she is survived by her daughter Cynthia Lou Madore, and her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. RIP dear Grandma Eleanor Mowers. 92 years. A full life, lots of adventures. Traveling across country, bike riding miles a day across the bridges into Canada... Dear Grandma. I love you. I miss your laugh. I miss our roller skating, even though a lot of times they played weird old waltzing polka music. I loved our bike ride adventures the best. I miss our walks with Bruin, and Bruin carrying his red bowl for beer. I miss dear Sinbad. My buddy John HasBrouck sends his love & hugs. I know you would want to be joining us in the these festivities. I am so glad we got to watch the Buffalo Bills and even the Sabres a couple of weeks ago together. Grandma, thanks for loving me & helping take care of me. I wish I could have visited you so much more often. My 23 years of Army life took me far away, a lot. It has taught me a lot, to have much appreciation & gratitude. I appreciate you. I am grateful for you. Your heart to donate so much to so many organizations in an effort to do good & serve. So many people at your apartment complex loved you. They speak volumes about how sweet & special you were to them. I am grateful to be able to come and spend your final moments in life with you. Watch the Buffalo Bills win their game against the Steelers 17-10. It was a good game. We watched some hockey. Guys with these blue maple leaves on their jerseys. I am glad I spent a few hours reading to you favorite Bible scriptures, history of Christmas Carols, & that I could provide a little relief with lip care & swab your mouth. It was the least I could do for you. You have done so much for so many others. Countless donations to so many organizations. You surpassed devotion to family when you send out cards. Birthday cards, get well, Easter, Christmas, birthday cards. Calendars and clippings. I am going to miss your faithful birthday & Christmas cards, not just to me, Grandma, but you sent them to our whole family. You remembered everyone, loved everyone. I love you, Grandma.
