Patricia L. Davis

Patricia Lucille Richardson Davis was born to Robert Richardson and Josephine Parmeter on October 27,1931 in Olean, NY and passed away on June 11, 2023. In her final years, she resided at Wheatfield Commons Assisted Living in North Tonawanda, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Davis (Little Genesee NY) and subsequently by her long time friend and companion Richard Wawrzynek (Buffalo NY). Pat was proud mother to seven children: Kirk Davis (Betsy) Prescott AZ, Beth Davis Cuba NY, Mark Davis (Barb) Alllegany NY, Jeff Davis (Tina) Niagara Falls NY, Paul Davis (Carolyn) Youngstown NY, Neal Davis Zion UT and Sean Davis Zion UT. Her family grew even larger after the Wawrzynek children became part of her life: Betty Wawrzynek Turgeon (Norm) Lewiston ME, Teresa Wawrzynek Dominick (Jared) Idaho Falls ID and Jim Wawrzynek Phoenix AZ. She cherished the love of her eight beautiful grandchildren. Michael Davis, Matt Davis (Kathleen), Maureen Davis Calderwood (Christopher) - all in Phoenix AZ, Shannon Davis Kidder (Matt) Nashville TN, Christopher Davis (Kristyn) Niagara Falls NY, Todd Davis (Justine) Buffalo NY, Tiffany Davis Zion UT, and Teresa Reynolds (Dan) Niagara Falls NY. Pat was also blessed with fifteen great grandchildren. Pat was a loving sister to Robert Richardson, Carl Richardson, Mary Frances Richardson Driscoll, Paula Richardson Milks, Margaret Richardson Bednar -all of Olean NY and Jack Richardson Cuba NY. She was also aunt to twenty one nieces and nephews. Her growing up years were spent in the Olean NY area. She was a graduate of Olean High School and attended Westbrook Secretarial Academy in Olean NY. After marriage, the family relocated to Niagara Falls NY where she raised her children in the DeVeaux neighborhood. Later in life, Pat was employed by the Gerald Meyers family and subsequently the Bill Hein family - both of Williamsville NY. The Meyers and Hein families were like family to her, as was the staff at Wheatfield Commons. Pat's greatest joy in life was spending time with family members. She particularly took pride in her children and their successes and was always there to give them encouragement and support during difficult times. Her children's friends were always welcome in her home. She was friendly and outgoing to all, had a great sense of humor, loved to read and travel, looked forward to and enjoyed the changing seasons and navigated change and challenge with grace. She appreciated all types of music and loved to dance. She faithfully kept in touch with those she loved via phone conversation, hand written notes and cards for every occasion. Pat had a very positive outlook on life and made prayer a part of each day. A memorial service and reception will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wheatfield Commons Assisted Living or Niagara Hospice.
