Virginia Reeves Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Virginia May (Cummings) Reeves was called home on February 3, 2022 after a lengthy illness with dementia. Born June 26, 1937 to Albert and Mabel Cummings in Niagara Falls, New York. Virginia graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1954 and went on to become a Registered Nurse at Buffalo General Nursing School in 1958 and worked at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center most of her career, retiring in 1984. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jan P. Reeves of North Tonawanda, her children, Alan (Debbie) Reeves of Denton, TX, Cynthia Vickery of North Tonawanda, Richard (Tammi) Reeves of North Tonawanda and Deborah (Lawrence Jr.) Amacher of Sanborn. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, Lisa, Brian (Cari) and Jason (Rosa) Reeves of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly, Robert, Kyle Reeves, Austin Vickery, Courtney (Daniel) Mohr, Chelsey (Gregory) Madole, Megan, Lauren, Lawrence III (Trey) and Danica Amacher and the late Richard Reeves Jr as well as 4 great-grandsons, Cody, Jaxson, Jaxson and Wyatt. Family will be present Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10am. In leiu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
