DOROTHY ANN PULYER passed away suddenly September 27, 2016 at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda at the age of 90. Dorothy Ann Pulyer was born October 7, 1925 in Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Vahaly) Hrizak. Mrs. Pulyer is preceded in death by her husband Conrad J. Pulyer. Beloved mother of Patricia ( Peter) Taylor of Massachusetts and Joan ( Alan) Soos of North Tonawanda NY; grandmother of Julianne ( Andrew) Calder of Wilson, WY, Lt. Col. William (Stephanie) Taylor of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kristiane (John) DeLong of Watertown, Connecticut and Robin ( Benjamin) Tubbs of Hamburg NY; great grandmother of Mirella DeLong; Jackson, Elias and Katherine Taylor; Avery and Hannah Calder and Brenna Tubbs; beloved godmother of Conrad Sikirica of Johnstown, PA. Mrs. Pulyer is predeceased by her brothers; Andrew Hrizak, John (late Jean) Hrizak and Joseph (late Dorothy ) Hrizak; sisters Mary (late John) Magyar, Helen (late Joseph) Sroba, Margaret (late Frank) Sasarak, Veronica (late Steve) Costic, Agnes (late Frank) Obarsky, Irene (late Paul) Stasko. She is survived by her sister Eleanor ( late Nicholas) Sikirica; preceded in death by brother-in-law Jacob (late Lola) Pulyer and sister-in-law Catherine (late Bernard) Ingram; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pulyer retired from Computer Printing Corporation (Buffalo) after 30 years of dedicated service in 1985. She formerly had worked at Loblaws. Dorothy was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed tennis and hockey on TV, a "Meals on Wheels" volunteer in North Tonawanda for 25 years. Dorothy loved her family and home where she spent 60 years, and adored her treasured angel collection. She was a member of the Red Hat Society; enjoyed being at the local Senior Citizens Center and their weekly bingo. In the past, she liked to bowl on leagues. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the SPCA Serving Erie County or any animal rescue organization. Mrs. Pulyer was a former church member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and most recently Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. Private Servics will be held Monday at 10:30 AM in the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive North Tonawanda with the Rev. Dr. Greg Crispel officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
