Mary-Ann Ferree

Mary-Ann Corrao Ferree, age 69 of Newfane, NY passed away suddenly on January 10, 2024. Mary-Ann was born in Cooperstown, NY on April 18, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Georgette Corrao. Smiling her way through life, Mary-Ann was an inspiration and a positive light for so many. Her uplifting spirit allowed her to truly live life to the fullest. Mary-Ann graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY where she took four years of nursing classes, received her nursing license and then realized her true passion and calling was music. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree. Also, she received her graduate certificate from the Education Media Design and Technology Graduate Certificate Program from Full Sail University. Additionally in 2018, she was named to the Wall of Distinction of Oneonta High School for her prestigious awards, acts of service and having two original songs on the Billboard Top 100 Country Charts. Mary-Ann shared her gift of music with so many her whole life. Performing with her husband Ken, known as Buffalo and Brandy, she found joy in implementing a fun, educational experience for children through music. Her personal dream was fulfilled to sing, travel, create, and implement wholesome family entertainment. Beloved wife of Ken Ferree. She is survived by her step daughters; Angie Ferree McManus(Jon) and Kelly Ferree Goodman(Rich). Sister of Joseph and Pete Corrao and Ruth Corrao Harris. Beloved Nana of 6 cherished grandchildren; Josh(Alyssa), Alyssa, Kirsten, Alex, Jace and Kylie. Mary-Ann loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing her ukulele and loved the Buffalo Bills. Her family feels so lucky to have been so loved by her. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1 to 3pm at Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda. A service to follow will be held at 3pm. The family intends to host a Celebration of Life at a later date, to be determined, to give family and friends from out of town another opportunity to gather to honor her.
